Guides
Straight answers to the parts of a job application nobody explains. Each guide starts with the answer, shows where it comes from, and says when we last checked it.
Job hunting is hard enough without guessing what a form wants from you.
The guides
Should you answer diversity and disability questions on a job application?
You don't have to. What UK law and the GDPR say about equality monitoring and health questions, who is allowed to see your answers, and how to decide.
Do auto-apply bots get you rejected?
What application systems document about spam filters and application limits, what nobody outside an employer can know, and why fewer, checked applications are the safer bet.
Are AI cover letters bad? Can employers tell?
What hiring managers say they catch, why detection software can't settle it, and how to use AI for a draft without sending a letter that could be anyone's.
Europass CV or an ATS-friendly CV: which should you use?
When the EU's own format is expected, when a plain CV works better for online application systems, and why many people keep both.
Looking for how to word one answer, like salary expectations? The application answers library takes one question at a time.
How we write these guides
Written by Trabalero. We make a job application autofill, based in Lisbon. Where a guide mentions our product, it's in one section that says plainly the product is ours, plus a link to try it at the end.
Sources you can check. We build each guide from official documentation, regulators and government pages, vendor help centres, and named research that publishes its method. We don't cite listicles or statistics without a source. Every guide lists its sources at the end, with links.
Reviewed and dated. Every guide shows the date it was last reviewed. We re-check a guide when the rules or the systems it describes change, and at least every three months.
How we use AI. Drafts may be written with help from AI. A person checks every claim against its source and reviews the whole guide before it's published.
Not advice for your situation. The guides explain general rules in plain words. They aren't legal, financial or career advice.
